Abstract: The symbiosis formed by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, rhizobia and legumes is a special association in plant-microbe symbiosis. In this paper, the research advances in the nutritional relationships between microorganisms and plants, effects of co-inoculation with rhizobia and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on legumes, factors affecting the effectiveness of the co-inoculation,and molecular interactions in arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi-legumes-rhizobia symbiosis were reviewed, and the problems needed to be further studied as well as the prospects of basic research and application of this symbiosis were discussed.
