Abstract: The establishment of regional tourist image involves two aspects:the guiding of tourist' perception, and the building of regional landscape. The latter is the base of the former and the former can be used for modifying the latter. Regional landscape building needs to analyze the natural, social, economical and historical background of the region, and its tourism resources. Then a complexity of landscape, as a visual system, should be designed and the sites where the buildings are emphasized should be identified in particular, following the theory and spatial analysis approach of landscape ecology. Linhai City, located in Zhejiang Province, is taken as a case for the study above mentioned procedures.
