Preliminary Investigation on the Common Amentotaxus Forest in the Bamianshan Mountain of Hunan Province

Abstract

Abstract: The Amentotoxus argotaenia forest is a relict phytocommunity of the Tertiary period. This paper was based on the investigation data of forest communities in Bamianshan mountain of Hunan province. It focusly discussed the eco-geographical distribution of the community, its physiognomic structural features and population characters, which could provide a scientific basis for the protection of this valuable forest resource.
