Abstract: Data were given for the calorific values and energy distributions in trees and stands of Cunninghamia lanceolaat and Michelia macclurei. As regards to the utilization of solar energy, the rationally mixed forest of Cunninghamia lanceolaat-Michelia macclurei was better than their pure forests. Such mixed forest should be highly advocated in south areas of China.
