Abstract: When the water supply was based on natural precipitation,the tree roots distributed hori-zontally in the soil surface layer.The trees developed their taproot system if they got waterfrom underground.The roots of trees growing on irrigated land grew mainly in the layerwhere it was able to be moistened by the irrigated water.
