Abstract: The ecological environment of this district is characterised by rare rainfall, drought, sweltering heat and fiequent sand drifting by wired. Desert plants are adapted to this environment with different ways. For instance, some species can stand drought and swelter by the high content of bound water, high viscosity and coagulation rate of protoplasm, and strong hydrophilic ability of colloid. And some species can do these through their morphological and anatomical characteristics. Therefore, it's profitable to take account of these characteristics in selecting sand-fixing plants.
