Abstract: The tropical floristic elements,and heliophilic,xeric and fireproof feature of existingvegetation in Yuanmou dry-hot valley is related to its dry-hot climate.The unique topo-graphy of deep valley and towering peaks and plant historical geography in this area isthe main cause of formation of the dry-hot valley vegetation.
