Abstract: The compared experiment has been conducted to study the effects of fertilization in the soil of Pinus tabulaeformis and Robinia pseudoacaia mixed forest with urea, phosphate ammonium and compound fertilizer to soil microbial population and enzyme activity. The results showed that compound fertilizer and urea significantly improved the population of soil microbe, with an increase of 42.1% and 18.4% respectively during the growth season compared to control. The compound fertilizer improved the population of azotobacter and potassium bacteria, and the phosphate ammonium enhanced the population of phosphobacteria. The enzyme activity of soil was boosted up with significantly seasonal change after treatment with different fertilizers.
