Abstract: Shandong province is located at 34°25′~38°23′N and 114°36′~122°43′E . It is typical continental monsoon climate, with absolute minimum temperature of -11~-25℃ and maximum of 39~43℃, annual precipitation of 550~950 mm and frostless days of 180~220day. The main soil kinds are braw nealth, cinnamon and saline alkli. Annual growth of breast-height diameter and length for younger trees of introduced Eucommia ulmoides are ≥1.00cm and ≥0.80m; for the mature trees are≥0.56cm and≥0.35m, respectively . The seed yield is 41g for 13 years old tree and 2500g for 23 years old tree. Seed quality is good with thousand-seeds weight of 97.0g and germination rate of 60%~80% .The growth charact eristics and barkg rowth of introduced trees are similiar to ones of the originated trees, while seed yield and quality are better than ones of originated trees.
