Abstract: The immaturities and adults of 41 arthropods were found to breed in the cowdung of Taiyu-an region.They are two Anthomyiidae,one Fanniidae,seven Muscidae,four Calliphoridae,fourSarcophagidae,one Syrphidae,two Drosophilidae,one Acalyptrata,two Ichneumonidae,twoStratiomyiidae,four Staphylinidae,two Scarabaeidae,three Pteromalidae,one of Chalcididae,Labidura riparia,and Macrochelidae.Seasonal occurrences of the arthropods were from Mar.to Nov..The peak of occurrence was from Jun.to Sept..The arthropods of cowdung consistof predators,parasites and competitors,which play an important role in control of the cowdun-goreeding pestflies.
