Correlation between land use and soil erosion intensities based on GIS: Taking Loess Plateau in North Shaanxi Province as an example

摘要: 依托GIS软件作为技术平台, 采用网格地图与数学分析方法,研究了陕北黄土高原土地利用强度与土壤侵蚀强度之间的相互关系。结果表明,陕北黄土高原土壤侵蚀强度和土地利用强度呈高度正相关,说明土地利用强度是导致陕北黄土高原本区域土壤侵蚀的重要驱动力。回归分析发现,在自然因子综合作用下,土地利用强度对土壤侵蚀强度的影响呈现不同状况,地势越平坦、气候越湿润的地区人类活动对土壤侵蚀强度的影响越小,反之亦然。

Abstract: Employing GIS, grid-maps and order correlation analysis, this paper studied the correlation between land use- and soil erosion intensity on the Loess Plateau of Northern Shaanxi Province. The results showed that in this region, soil erosion intensity was highly related to land use intensity, indicating that land use intensity was the main driving force of soil erosion. Regression analysis suggested that the effect of land use intensity on soil erosion intensity was determined by the integration of natural factors, e.g., in flat and humid areas, human activity had a less effect on soil erosion intensity, and vice versa.
