Abstract: Through measuring the oxygen consumption and energy budget of Crocidura lasiura in summer and winter, following results are obtained: 1.The oxygen consumption of C.lasiura is lower in winter than in summer under the same temperature controlled in lab.,but under natural ambient temperature, the oxygen consumption of C.lasiura is significantly higher in winter than in summer (p<0.01). 2. The food intake of C.lasiura is higher in winter than in summer, and the energy intake in winter and in summer corrected by W0.75 are significantly different (p<0.05). 3. Both the digest efficiency and assimilation efficiency are lower in winter than in summer, with significant differences between these two seasons (p<0.05).
