Study on Variation of Vitamin C Content in the Fruits of Hippophae rhamnoides Linn

Abstract: The vitamin C contents of fruits of cultivated Hippophae rhamnoides trees were determined,The results indicate that 1.The content of vitamin C varies apparently with different sour-ces of the fruits;2.The content of vitamin C tends to increase with the development offruit maturity and decline after repening of fruit;3.No close relationship between thevitamin C content and fruit color could be observed;4.The site conditions in differentregions greatly affect the vitamin C content in the fruits.
