Abstract: It is shown through the trails of yields and physiological activities that broom corn millet hasa higher water saturation, less water consumption and higher efficiency of water utilizationthan those of millet.Although the photosyntesis intensity and productivity of millet are higher than those of broom corn millet under optimum cultivation conditions, the yield of millet is lower under drought condition. All in all, drought tolerance of broom corn millet is superior to that of millet and more sui-table to be cultivated under drought environment.
