Abstract: Weed species and their occurring time in the cool seasonal turfgrass in Xi'an was spot-checked. The pattern of the occurrence and succession of weed was analyzed. The results showed that the dominant weed species of dicotyledon were Oxalix comiculata, Duchesnea indica, Aster tataricus, and Artemisia atrovivens, while monocotyledon were Cynodon dactylon, Digitaria sanguinalis, and Cyperus rotundus . Using abundance degree to define the extent of the weed damage was proposed and the method of prevention and control of weed was also suggested.
