Abstract: As an important and widely used ataractic veterinary medicine, chlorpromazine is mainly metabolized in liver and gradually discharged with urine. Due to its slow discharge, this chemical can usually induce the problem of remaining. With the improvement of people's living quality and the requirement of creatural food safety, more and more attention is paid to the remaining of chlorpromazine. The discharged chlorpromazine can enter into ecosystems and human bodies through many routes, and has potential influences on them. This paper analyzed the reasons of chlorpromazine remaining, summarized the ecotoxicological effects of chlorpromazine in environment and its potential influences on human health, and illustrated the close relationships of chlorpromazine remaining with environment and human health. A further study of this topic is of practical significance.
