Abstract

Abstract: This paper presents some aspects of the comprehensive research on a Q.variabilis ecosystem in Bao-huashan Natural Reserve in Jiangsu Province, The annual litterfall amount is 5359. 5kg.ha^-1 in this e-cosvstem from 1989 to 1990. with two peaks appearing in May and Novernber.The contants of five ele-ments(N,P,K,Ca and Mg） in litterfall and their dynamics are also discussed in detail.

Key words: livestock manure, nitrous oxide, aerobic composting, nitrification, denitrification.
