Abstract: In 1982,the relationship between growth rhythm of ten species of main timber trees(five coni-fers and five broad-leaved trees),in north subtropics and their enyironments is studied,usingthe methods of comparing ecology and macroscopic investigations with fixed positions,fixedperiods and fixed trees.Five aspects are discussed to each species type of height growth,secondary growth,regrowthand effects of climate on tree growth in height and diameter.
