The Control of Cadmium Pollution in Agriculture

Abstract: The methods of controling cadmium pollution in agriculture arc discussed in this paper, which include controling cadmium discharge of industrial wastewater, preventing cadmium pollution from mineral residues and sludges, working out indexes of environmental capacity of cadmium in soils, and strengthening management and monitoring of water quality in waste water irrigated area.In the Zhangzhi Irrigated Area of Shengyang, the main methods adoped are: adding amendments to soils, controling cadmium pollution sources, stripping of surface soils, taking submerge irrigation technique to avoid the surface soil be dried, and appling some biological techniques. By means of these methods, good results for the local economy society and environment are oblained.
