Abstract: This paper analyses the energy budget of Carduelis spinus(Granivorous)and Ficedula cya-nometara(Insectivorous)during autumn migration.The expriment with both granivorousand insectivorous birds revealed that the daily intake of energy was significantly greaterin the morning than in the afternoon,t=19.02,p<0.01 and t=16.03,p<0.01 respectively,but the MEC was greater in the afternoon than in the morning for both species.
