The structure and economic effect of agroecosystem models of the flatlands at Qiaotou,Dongguan,Guang dong, were studied, while typical ag roecosystem models of the flatlands in its vicinity were al so analyzed. It was found that the major models of the flatlands in Q iaotou included the integ rated growing_raising model and monocultural v egetable_g rowing model. The results show ed that the inte g rated grow ing_raising model had a perfect functio n and high w ork day value.Accor ding to eco_engi neering principles it w as sug gested that, essential components such as pond fish and livestock should be added to the monocultural vegetable_grow ing model in order to obtain a sustainable effect.

The article reports the results of salt tolerance of Spartina alternilora using automatic sand culture device which simulated the alternative flooding and exposing conditions of seawater on intertidal zone of seashore. After one week's culturing under 5 different salinaty levels of artificial seawater(0,1/3,2/3,1 and 4/3 of seawater),the seedlings of S.alternif lora were determined for the contents of total flavonoids, chlorophyll, soluble sugar and proline. The results showed that there were positive correlationships between the salinity and the contents of total flavonoids, soluble sugar and proline, while a negative correlationship between the salinity and the content of chlorophll. It was obvious that the change of the content of total flavonloids in S.alternif lora was an impertant indicatorof its response to the salt stress.

The study showed that rainfall within growing season was the base of water consumption of crops. The supply from the rainfall reached 76.9%of water consumption. The water consumption of maize, sorghum, millet and soybean was 455.5-541.7mm,445.5-495.0mm,410.8-486mm and 379.8-494.5mm respectively. The maximum water consumption was at the course of jointingheading and milking. The maximum intensity of water consumption was at the course of flowering, while that of soybean was at late flowering to early podding with 5.6-11.1mm穌-1.Water consumption mainly came from 0-100cm soil layer, which provided more than 90% of the water consumption.Water within 0-50cm soil layer was utilized strongly by crops.Water from 100-150 cmsoil layer was less used and with different extents by different crops.

Based on collection and investig at ion of the data from Ruili,Baoshan twons and Yingjiang, Longchuan counties during 1982 to 1994,the structure of fleas communities on Rattus flavip ectus have been described in quantity for first time. The results showed that ther e w ere the different cha racters of seasonal variatio n in tendency figures of the carry flea rate of rats and the constituent ratio of two dominant species in the continual 36 months. Also, ther e were the differ ent characters of in terannual fluctuation tendency figur es of the carry flea rate of rats, total flea index, constituent ratio of tw o dominant species,Shannon index and evenness of each 12 months average in the continual 11 to 13 years. As a constituent of these characters, the authors named these communities for Ruili as Xennop sylla cheop is L entistivalius f er inus, for Longchuan as Xennop sylla cheop is Lep topsylla seg nis,fo r Yingjiang as X.cheop is L.segnis and for Bao shan as Lsegnis X.cheop is.Compining w ith epidemic intensity analysis of Yersinia p estis,it was considered that the former three communites with the do minant species of K.cheop is more fitted the conserve and spr ead of Yesinia pesitis;and last one community with the dominant species of L.seginis is shortter m for the sustenance of Y.p esitis.T herefor e,it is necessary in further study of succession law of the fleas co mmunit ies on R. f lav ip ev tus and their char acters to guiding the community of hamful flea evolved into the harmfuless community by the metho ds of the chemical co ntrol and surrouding manag ement,so that people can eradicate the threaten from the plague.

    1997, (3):  45-49.
    Asbtract ( 1239 )   PDF (318KB) ( 340 )
The Holy Hill tradition of the indigenous people, the Bulang,in the study area includes two aspects. (1)One is philosophical believes of the Bulang. They believe thathumanity is a subordinate element in the holistic nature consisting of inanimate, animate, humanity and gods.(2)Another is that the Bulang people practically build their villages athill tops, divide their lands into Holy Hill(a natural virgin forest near the village),burial area, shift fallow and natural forests;and utilize animals and plants in sustainable style. An analysis of the contribution of Holy Hill tradition to the harmony of humanity with nature, the protection of settlement environment, tropical rain forests and biodiversity was made. The Holy Hill tradition, playing still an important role in daily life of the Bulang people,is carried forward in the practice such as in management of forests for water resources, conservation of Holy Hills, establishment of new burial area and development of local ecological village.

Today the world is ex periencing the most rapid expansion in the human niche ever seen, such as the rapid increase in population state_influences,the amount and rate of the resource consumption, the rapid ex panding of the area and space used and occupied by human, the significant incr ease in hu mankind s impact on env ironment, and the advance in humankind s understanding, science and technolog y etc..T he impact on environment from human niche ex pansion has two aspects:(1)human has expanded at the ex pense of other species and the non_liv ing resour ce,which increased the environmental degratation;(2)at the same t ime, human niche expansion prov ided a rapid increase in the human carrying capacity, but not always w as constrained by the carrying capacity.T he human carry ing capacity is not a constant parameter but a var iable,w hich has close relationship w ith the status of natural resour ce,human impact on environment, the develo pment of science and technology, population size and quality, resour ce consumption per captia, the efficiency of agricultural pro duction, the utilizat ion efficiency of environment and resource, and the consumption patterns of re source and wealth.T he human car rying capacit y has been significantly affected by the development of science and technolog y.T he adverse impacts on the biospher ecaused by expansion of human niche threaten the sustainablity of the world.Human sustainable development should be achived by the progr ess of science and technology, regulation of the expansion of human niche, decr ease of the in verse impact on environment, and promotion of the increase in human carrying capacity.

There is a difference in N and P contents of the leaves between nitrogen_fixing tr ees and no n_nitro g en_fix ing tree species.T he ex port rates of N and P from leaves are also differ ent between these two kinds of tr ees during leaf falling season.T he contents of N in foliage of the nitrog en_fix ing trees are 2 to 3 t imes hig her than that of the non_nitrogen fixing trees.T her e is slightly differ ence of P co n tents in the leaves betw een these two kinds of trees before and after leaf fallen.Befo re leaf fallen,ni trog en_fix ing tr ees, especially for non_leguminous N2_fixing trees, had about 30% of N in the leaves transferred to trunk, branch and root and most of them(70%)retur ed to soil.T he regular partern of P export in foliag e is similar to Nex port during leaf falling season, var iation of the ex por t rates of P from leav es is between 40% to 60%.
