    1995, (1):  1-5.
    Asbtract ( 1342 )   PDF (349KB) ( 188 )
The effect of mulching after winter irrigation on drought-resistance and maize yield increment is studied. The results show that through mulching especially mulching with wheat straw, the wa-ter evaporation from soil is reduced in winter and early spring, and higher water content is kept in soil. The drought is resisted effectively during growing period of crops, and the crop yield and WUE are increased.Through wheat straw mulching, the maize yield is raised by 15%in drought years, and the WUE is calculated as 25.5kg穐-1? mm-1.

ased on the survey from July 1985 to June 1986,this paper discusses the distribution of biomassand its density and the composition of species of benthic animals in Yantai inshores. It revealsthat benthic animals have lower biomass, higher density and more complicated species composi-tion with less obvious seasonal variation. Polychaeta has the largest biomass and the highest den-sity. being the dominant species in survey area. The density and biomass of benthic animals areevenly distributed in all survey stations except higher in No.8 and lower in No.9 and No.10 sur-vey ones. The highest biomass is determined in spring, and the lowest in summer, and the re-vease is its density. The reason of lower biomass in No.9 and No.10 survey stations is also ana-lyzed.

hekou harbour is located at the north side of Shenzhen Bay,and its eutrophication is becoming serious in recent years. The Chla and Chlb contents of phytoplankton and N,P levels of sea water at 4 typical tides are examined continuously for 24 hours, and the relationship between phyto-plankton growth and N,P levels are revealed. There are red-tide algae existing in the sea water and Bacillariophyta is the dominant component.

he study shows:1.Soil microorganisms are mainly concentrated in upper layer. Their amount decreases with increasing soil depth.2.The amount of bacteria is very rich in rainy season and counts for more than 95%of the total. With the coming of dry season, the amount of bacteria decreases, and that of actinomycete and fungi increases.3. The amount of microorganisms, the intensity of cellulose-decomposition, the activity of soil enzymes and the intensity of soil respira-tion are decreased in order of: 20-years-old secondary forest>12-years-old secondary forest> 7-years-old secondary forest.

Studies on ecological environment, floristic geography, life form, structure and composition of M. marlinii forest in Guizhou province show:1.The environmental conditions of this community are better.2.Its floral features are both temperate and tropic, but the former is the main one.It mainly distributes in southwest China, South Yangtze River,Eastern Asia and Central China3.Its life forms are mostly Phanerophytes, Hemicryptophytes and Therophytes.4.Its species composition is quite complex,104 species belonging to 68 genera of 41 families, and dominant species being M. martinii, Acer oblongum,Castanopsis hystrix and Liquidambar formosana.5,Its stability are worse, it isn't a climax type in the evergreen broadleaved forest in subtropic of China.
Vertical Distribution of Summer Birds in Yangtian Mountainous District of Qingzhou

    Asbtract ( 1450 )   PDF (326KB) ( 205 )
According to the vertical distribution of summer birds,Yangtian mountainous district of Qingzhou,Shandong province may be divided into three belts. 51 species of birds are recorded. The species and population of them increase from lower to higher mountainous range. They are closely related with vegetation and influenced by human activities. The birds may be grouped into three types,i.e.,narrow vertical distribution, subvertical distribution and wide vertical distribu-tion. These three types of distribution are both transitional and substitutional, and the former is the major one,The community of birds in each vertical distribution belt is relatively stable. They are more evenly distributed in low mountainous coniferous-deciduous forest.

The development of ecology demands the establishment of the theory of ecological field. Based onsome relevant research work, this paper discusses the meaning and charactetistics of ecological field, and furthermore, attempts to propose the Hypothesis of genotype-ecological field decision.
Input and Output of Soil Nutrients at Huanglian of Xichang

    1995, (1):  54-57.
    Asbtract ( 1239 )   PDF (2327KB) ( 197 )
he input and output of soil nutrients at Huanglian town of Xichang city was studies in 1984-1990. The results show that the input of soil nutdents N,P and K is less than their output andapplying potassium fertilizer has an evident effect on crop yield. The nutrient utilization efficien-cies are decreased about 50%, and the solving ways are discussed.

    1995, (1):  62-66.
    Asbtract ( 1475 )   PDF (459KB) ( 147 )
The Object-Oriented Programming(OOP)technique which consists of three useful concepts andmethods,i.e.,encapsulation,inheritance and polymorphism, provides a natural path to simulatereal ecosystem.A framework of ecosystem model is constructed with OOP technique in Borland C++on the basis of Palmiter model which is developed by Ladd, and part of the model shows how the dynamic pattern of palmiter population changes with biological and ecological parame-ters. The application of OOP technique in ecosystem modelling gives a broad foreground in eco-logical research and supplies a possibility to study ecological problems with " Artificial Life" on computer.
