    1994, (5):  1-4.
    Asbtract ( 1590 )   PDF (304KB) ( 249 )
Through combination of duckweed cultivation and crab breeding in rice field, the benefit of stereoscopic agriculture rice-duckweed-crab is discussed in this paper. It shows that such a kind of agriculture is a high-efficient stereoscopic agriculture which can improve soil fertility, reduce bio- logical hazard and increase crop preduction.
Relationship Between Casuarina equisetiforia Growth and Trace Element Mo in Coastal Sandy Area of Fujian Province
    Sha Jiqin, Zheng Daxian
    1994, (5):  5-12.
    Asbtract ( 3840 )   PDF (2659KB) ( 237 )
The study shows that soil available Mo content has a significant influence on the Mo content and plant growth of Casuarina equisetiforia. Application of Mo fertilizers can effectively increase the Mo content of Casuarina equisetiforia and its growth rate, and conversely,a long-term growth of Casuarina equisetiforia can lead to the deficit of element Mo in acid coastal sandy soils.
Principal Techniques of Rational Use of Pesticide for Ecological Control over Tea Gresn Leaf Hopper
    Zhang Juewan, Wang Yuanjiang
    1994, (5):  12-17.
    Asbtract ( 1375 )   PDF (2509KB) ( 180 )
pider is a superior natural enemy of tea green leaf hopper.A three years experiment with four ea varieties of same years old shows that in combining with machine-plucking and straw- ulching between tea rows, spraying pesticide Applaud on the surface of tea plants in early morning or late afternoon of summer when the hoppers are more but spiders are less can give good effects. The frequency of spraying is dropped from 6-7 to 1-2,and the cost for control is de- creased by 113 yuan per hactre. The output of fresh leaves is increased by 5.52%。The popula- tion of spiders is raised by 34.6%,and the density of hoppers is decreased by 37.5%。The eco- logical balance in tea field is greatly improved.

    1994, (5):  18-22.
    Asbtract ( 1137 )   PDF (2597KB) ( 201 )
The dynamic variations of soil microorganisms, enzymes, and physical and chemical propertiesduring decomposition of Pinus massoniana slashes are studied in fixed plots in Youxi,Fujian forsix years. The results show that the decomposition of slashes results in the multiplication of soilmicrcorganisms, intensification of soil enzyme activities, increase of soil nutrients and improve-ment of hydro-physical properties. At the fourth year, the decomposition of slashes is finished, with soil fertility of no-burning be improved and significantly better than that of control.

Bao Xingguo, Lu Fuhai, Sang Tongshan, Liu Shengzhan
    1994, (5):  26-30,79.
    Asbtract ( 1312 )   PDF (2551KB) ( 227 )
Experiments show that sweet clover, common vetch and Russian vetch are shade-resisting and have strong ability of ratooning, which are suitable to be inter}r mixed planted with cereal and oil crops. Factors that can interact the growth of green manure and main crops are discussed and measures for improving the ratooning of green manure crops are put forward. Up to now, the cropping system of inter-or mixed planting green manure and main crops has been extended in Hexi and similar regions of Gansu province for 6.7 ? 104ha per year.
Seasonal Variation of Soil Animals in Man-Made Rubber-Tea Community in Tropics
    Deng Xiaobao
    1994, (5):  31-34,12.
    Asbtract ( 1193 )   PDF (2508KB) ( 165 )
t were studied in rub-ber-tea community, rubber plantation and tea plantation. The results show that the number of soil animal species is varied with seasons, the peak of which appears from December to Februaryof the following year, when temperature is low and precipitation is less. Acarina and Collembola are the dominant groups in these three communities, and the number of Acarina and Collembola accounts for 81.44% of the total number of soil animals.

    Asbtract ( 3910 )   PDF (2446KB) ( 227 )
Honeybee disease is caused by pathogens, and also brought about by many ecological factors. The main infecting factors are:1.climate (including temperature, humidity and wind);2.biological circumstance in agriculture and nectar sorce pollution;3.degeneration of honeybee and forest re-duction;4.pesticides and chemicals;5.pathogene's coordinated action. It's suggested that hon-eybee diseases are caused by ecological factors comprehensively, and,in some cases,an ecological factor may play a leading and guiding role.
Community Structure of Common Arthropods in Wheat Fields of Qingzhou,Skandong at Win- ter Time
    Cong Jianguo
    1994, (5):  59-62.
    Asbtract ( 3893 )   PDF (318KB) ( 244 )
The species and their abundance of arthropod communities in wheat fields of Qingzhou were in-vestigated at winter time during 1989-1992.It is found that the arthropod communities consist of 24 species, among which,16 species are beneficial for crops,8 species are harmful. The quan- itative dvnamics and characteristics of main pests and their natural enemies in the community are analysed using Shannon's index(H)and evenness(J').During winter time, the number of individuals in arthropod community is decreased, while the diversity, evenness and stability of the community are increased.

    1994, (5):  63-66.
    Asbtract ( 1282 )   PDF (383KB) ( 235 )
A new device for collecting stemflow is designed in accord with the hydrological characteristics oftropical forest. It is suggested that importance value and diameter class can be used as parametersin selecting measurement trees and calculating single-tree and forest stemflows. These device and method provide a new approach in hydrological researches of tropical forest.

Based on the evident changes of theories methodologies and discipline constructions, the history of ecology can be divided into 4 stages. The long history before Humboldt's plant geographic re-search (1805) is the first or rudimentary stage,in which, ecological thoughts were emerged in ancient philosophy and biology. The secondary or formation stage is from Humboldt's plant geography to Warming's plant ecology (1895), in which a large number of ecological researches male ecology separated from plant geography and became a new branch of biology, In the third or es- tablished stage, the period from Warming's plant ecology to Odum's "Fundamentals of ecology"(1953),the basic theories, meththodologies and discipline constructions of ecology were formed and some new areas were also being developed.Odum's "Fundamentals of ecology"(1953)is the symbol that ecology gets into its fourth or advancing stage. Due to the social needs and applica- tion of modern techniques, ecology grows explosively in areas of further exploring the nature of life and sustainable development of humanity.resulting in the ecological epoch.
