    1987, (5):  3-6,43.
    Asbtract ( 1268 )   PDF (652KB) ( 327 )
The storages and distributions of nitrogen and phosphorus of Korean pine seedlings at differentages, organs and stand conditions were studied. It was demonstrated that the N content of Koreanpine seedling under Korean pine stands could not meet the needs of the seedling growth.Especi-ally,the lack of N element in needles of pine seedlings under the virginal forest was a seriousdisadvantage for the seedling growth. It was discovered that overstock biomass and over-canopydensity of virgin forest brought about the disorder of N,P metabolism and slow growth rate ofthe seedlings.A proper cutting method to decrease the biomass storage and canopy density ofpine forest stands was suggested to create a better environment for the seedling growth.

The results of the studies indicate:1.The quantities of soil microorganisms vary with alti-tudes.The number of bacteria in the broadleaved forests or the broadleaved and coniferousmixed forests is greater than the coniferous forest, but soil fungi in the coniferous forestsand the mixed forests dominated by conifer are more abundant;2.The number of soil mi-croorganisms in the broadleaved forest is greater than the broadleaved and coniferous mixedforest, but the latter is greater than the coniferous forest;3.The intensity of soil bioche-mistry and the activities of soil enzymes in broadleaved forests are higher than the broadle-aved and coniferous mixed forests, but the latter higher than the coniferous forests.
Output of Japanese Eel Larva of Changjiang River Estuary and Analysis of the Influencing Factors

During 1980—1986 the resource of Japanese eel larva of the Changjiang River Estuary inShan-ghai region was investigated. The larva appeared in mid-February and disappeared in mid-May each year. The peak period of the larva emergence lasted about 30—40 days. The numberof larva in the northern branch of the river was larger than in the southern branch. The hum-bear of the larva around the eastern shore of the Chongming Island was greater than the westernshore.Recently the production of the larva decreased gradually perhaps because of the waterpollution of the river and over-fishing(including the falling-sea eel parents).Rake-nets,Pair-tow-nets and stable nets are usually used to catch the larva. The average catch-mortality withthe stable net was significantly higher than with the others(p<0.01).Suggestions were givenon how to rationally exploit this renewable resource and protect it from over-fishing.
study on Energy Inputs in Agriculture and Their Efficiencies in Shanghai Outskirts

The energy inputs, outputs and their structures in agriculture of Shanghai Outskirts werestudied. The results indicated when the chemical nitrogen fertilizers accounted for 72.4% in the total mineral energy inputs the efficiencies Of the energy inputs were reduced.There-fore,a proper decrease of the application of chemical nitrogen fertilizers was suggested.
    Ecological Study on Agamermis sp
    Li Fuchun
    1987, (5):  27-30.
    Asbtract ( 1094 )   PDF (366KB) ( 190 )
September through October of each year is the active season of parasitizing for Agamermissp. They parasitize on rice hoppers and kill them finally. The soil humidity is the majorfactor influencing the development of Agamermis sp.The parasitizing ratio of Agamermissp.increases with soil humidity.Rational application of pesticides and chemical fertilizersis suggested to protect the Agamermis sp.and to decrease pollution of the environment.

The immaturities and adults of 41 arthropods were found to breed in the cowdung of Taiyu-an region. They are two Anthomyiidae, one Fanniidae, seven Muscidae, four Calliphoridae, fourSarcophagidae, one Syrphidae, two Drosophilidae, one Acalyptrata, two Ichneumonidae, twoStratiomyiidae, four Staphylinidae, two Scarabaeidae, three Pteromalidae, one of Chalcididae,Labidura riparia, and Macrochelidae.Seasonal occurrences of the arthropods were from Mar.to Nov..The peak of occurrence was from Jun.to Sept..The arthropods of cowdung consistof predators, parasites and competitors, which play an important role in control of the cowdun-goreeding pestflies.

The tropical floristic elements, and heliophilic, xeric and fireproof feature of existingvegetation in Yuanmou dry-hot valley is related to its dry-hot climate. The unique topo-graphy of deep valley and towering peaks and plant historical geography in this area isthe main cause of formation of the dry-hot valley vegetation.

Land reclamation from lake marsher could increase grain yield and teneficial for eliminatingoncomelania, but also created ecologically negative effects in aquatic product industry,cli-mate and water transport. Therefore rational exploitation of lake rescurces was suggested inHubei province which has vast lake resources.

The vitamin C contents of fruits of cultivated Hippophae rhamnoides trees were determined,The results indicate that 1.The content of vitamin C varies apparently with different sour-ces of the fruits;2.The content of vitamin C tends to increase with the development offruit maturity and decline after repening of fruit;3.No close relationship between thevitamin C content and fruit color could be observed;4.The site conditions in differentregions greatly affect the vitamin C content in the fruits.
