Ecological Benefit From Intercropping Grapes and Tea
Wang Rongchu, Zhu Xianming, Zhu Qi, Yang Wenhui, Xu Zhongxi
    1987, (1):  1-5,13.

Ecological conditions in tea plantation were effectively improved by intercropping trellisedgrapes and tea.The tea plantation under 40—50% of shading was keeping the sunlightillumination intensity at 20000—40000 Lx,In this way,the physiology of buds was well-regulated;the growth of new shoots and the effective components in the tea leaves wereincreased. Then, the quality of the tea was improved. Moreover, the economic benefit wasenhanced by the intercropping. It was discussed that the grape stains, their culture andtrellises were selected to fit the intercropping.

There are many well-growing large natural Chinese firs(Cunninghamia lanceolata)in theevergreen broad-leaved forests in Jiulian Mountain Natural Reserve of Jiangxi Province(within the boundries of Longnan County). The most of the Chinese fir is 50—100 years-old,about 20—25m tall,30—50cm in DBH,and a single-tree volume around 1m3.Theannual increment of a single-tree volume attains 0.013—0.017m3 in the last years, whichshows that the over-maturity of the Chinese fir has not reached yet.The existing of somany large natural Chinese firs may be related to the natural conditions suitable fortheir regeneration and development.
Preliminary Research on the Dynamic Process of Nitrogen Fixation Activities of Detached Nonleguminous Nodules

    1987, (1):  10-13.

The dynamic process of the nitrogen fixation activities of detached nodules of Alnus sibi-rica,Elaeagnus angustifolia,E. mollis and Hippophae rhamnoides was investigated. The resultsindicated that the activities of the detached nodules gathered in cloud day decreased morerapidly than that of the nodules gathered in fine day.It showed that the photosyntheticproduct supply may be one of the important factors influencing the nitrogen fixationactivities of detached nodules. Therefore, the reaction culture of the testing nodules mustbe done within one hour after they were detached in cloud day and within three hours infine day as the acetylene reduction activity was determined with the detached nodules.
Nutrient Circling and Energy Transformation in Agroecosystems of Salinized Farmland in Different Stages of Improvement
    Li Weijiong, Li Yimin
    1987, (1):  14-19.
    Asbtract ( 1139 )   PDF (553KB) ( 157 )
The nutrient circling and energy transformation in the wheat-corn cropping system wasstudied in three sites with different production levels respectively in Quzhou County,Hebei Province.
Application of Fussy Maths Cluster Method to Evergreen Broad-Leaved Forest-Types Division——Study on Cluster Method of Major Forest-Types in Cheba Mountain
Yang Yuanyou, He Zhaoheng, Chen Beiguang
    1987, (1):  20-26.
    Asbtract ( 1360 )   PDF (579KB) ( 193 )
The major forests in Mt.Cheba were divided into two formations and four forest-type gro-ups with the Fussy maths cluster method. The result showed that this method can be usedto classify the mid-subtropic evergreen broad-leaved forests and the correspondence of theforest-type groups with their environments. Thus, similar management practices can beapplied to the similar forest-types groups.
Vertical Distribution of Forest Soils in Yulong Mountain
    Zhang Xuexun, Li Yongfu
    1987, (1):  27-29,43.
    Asbtract ( 1166 )   PDF (265KB) ( 206 )
Yulong Mountain is the highest mountain in the northwest Yunnan. From the top to thefoot of the mountain, the vertical distribution of different forest soils is very clear, thatis, alpine frozen soil, alpine desert stony soil, alpine meadow soil, lightly podzolizedbrown forest soil,dark-brown forest soil and brown forest soil.
Ecological Investigation of Tyto capensis Chinensis(Hartert)
Tan Weizhi, Zhang Hanyuan, Xu Minghui
    1987, (1):  30-32.
    Asbtract ( 1123 )   PDF (360KB) ( 185 )
The ecological charecters of Tyro capensis Chinensis(Hartert)and its relations to the man-kind were investigated since 1982.This bird is a beneficial bird because it feeds chieflyon rats. Therefore,it should be protected against attacks.
Behaviour of BHC in Agro-Ecological Environments
Yao Jianren, Jiao Shuzhen, Qian Yixin, Zhao Fuzhen
    1987, (1):  33-36.
    Asbtract ( 1212 )   PDF (376KB) ( 152 )
Pesticides were introduced into agro-ecological environments by application of them tocontrol the pests of agricultural crops.Agro-ecological environment is a complex of manydifferent factors. The transformation and bio-degradation of a pesticide is determined bythe interaction among the biological, chemical and physical factors in the environment.A model of the effect of this environment on cleaning up BHC was put forward based onBHC transforming patterns in the environment.
Effects of Aquatic Vascular Plants on the Taihu Lake Ecosystem
    Cao Cuihe
    1987, (1):  37-39,19.
    Asbtract ( 1089 )   PDF (375KB) ( 181 )
The aquatic vascular plants are the producer and supplier of energy in the lake.Theirproper development can change the undesirable structure of fishes, improve the waterquality, slow down the eutrophication process of the lake and thus, protect the wholeecological environment.
    Primary Views on Courtyard Ecology

To develop the courtyard economy is one of the major ways to make mountainous areaslifted out of proverty and get rich. This paper discusses the potential of developing courtyard economy in the mountainous areas of the south China, the management goat of thecourtyard ecology and the principles of scientific managements.Six models of the courtyard economy were put forward, which would be suitable for different ecological environments.
