Wave Features of Population Changes of Pinus koraiensis in Natural Forest
    Li Junqing, Wang Yeju
    1986, (5):  1-5,12.

Pinus koraiensis have two distinguished features. One is the long lifespan and another is the large biomass in the natural mature forest.Just the two characteristics consist of their own specific pattern in when the light intensity in the community dominated by Pinus koraiensis becomes too poor for the pine seedlings to grow, the increasing rate of the pine tree population decreases. Then the fast-growing broad-leaved trees population increases with the decreasing pine individuals in the community. In the meantime the canopy of the broad-leavedtrees creates a suitable condition for the young pine trees to grow. Finally the pine trees become dominant species in the community again.

    Asbtract ( 1400 )   PDF (630KB) ( 166 )
The energy utilization in major crop systems in three selected counties in Northeastern plain of China was investigated. Some suggestions about effective utilization of energy especially from industrial or fossil fuel were given. Those crops are rice, corn, sorghum, wheat, soybean, millet, potatoes, sugar beets and sunflowers.
An Analyses of Oil-and Bap Pollution Status in the South Discharge River of Tianjin

    1986, (5):  13-16.
    Asbtract ( 1296 )   PDF (361KB) ( 179 )
There are about 230 tons of oil discharged from industrial influents in Tianjin each year.In order to examine the pollution status of oil and Bap in south district of Tianjin,a coorperative study was made. Results show that there exists a relationship between the soil pollution by oil and that by Bap.When oil content is higher in soil and vegetable, the Bap content is also in case.In the location near pollution source, the contents of oil and Bap in soil and vegetable are higher than those far from it.But little difference is found for cereals.
    Hydrologic Effects of Forest Vegetation
    Li Changzhe, Guo Weidong
    1986, (5):  17-21.
    Asbtract ( 1185 )   PDF (468KB) ( 219 )
In this paper, the effects of forest on protecting water sources are analyzed with“large basis comparision method.”The results of analysis are as follows:1.Because of the hydrologic effects of the forests, the run-off during the dry season increased by 80%,and the flow of the highest flood peat in a year decreased by 80%.Then the uniformity of the run-off during the period of a year improved by 30—40%.2.The forest soil has a better capacity of preserving rain water. There is a 32.5% increase of preserving rain water,48% increase of permeability and one-fold increase of dynamic capacity of preserving water in 1 meter of depth of the forest Soil.
A Preliminary Investigation on the Soil Animal Community in Paddy Field
    Zhang Youmei, Wang Zhenzhong
    1986, (5):  22-26.
    Asbtract ( 1299 )   PDF (435KB) ( 209 )
Community components of soil animals in paddy fields were investigated.Thirteen kinds of them were collected, which can be divided into four phylumes and seven classes. The individual densities of soil animals in different paddy fields were different.Double cropping paddy rice-rape field had a highest density,14433/m2,and the contaminated field was only 2511/m2.The vertical distribution of soil animal density is:plough layer(A)>plow sole(P)>phinthitic horizon(W).
Principal Components Analysis of Climatic Factors of Pinus koraiensis Distribution Region in North-eastern China
    Han Jinxuan
    1986, (5):  27-30.
    Asbtract ( 3805 )   PDF (455KB) ( 250 )
In this paper, principal components analysis(PCA)was used for fifty climatic stations in the distribution region of Pinus koraiensis forests in N.E.China.Five climatics factors were used to explain the relationship between the distribution of the Pinus koraiensis and climate. They were annual average temperature, annual average precipitation, annual average humidity, average temperature in January(the coldest month)and in July(the hottest month).
An Approach to the Prediction of Outbreaking Level of Armyworm by Using the Wind Data of the Upper Air as an Predictor
    Zhao Shengju
    1986, (5):  31-34.
    Asbtract ( 1209 )   PDF (304KB) ( 215 )
In order to stimulate the mathematical modelling of the prediction of plant diseases and insects,a prediction model of the outbreaking level of second-generation armyworm by using the wind direction of the upper air as predictor has been set up.The preliminary results are proven to be satisfactory, which adds a new promising approach of modelling to the prediction of armyworm outbreak.
Effect of Elevation on Serum LDH Isoenzyme Content in Ebian Black-White Cattle
Zhu Degao, Luo Zhihe, Jiang Maocheng, Luo Yonghuang, Zheng Zelin, Zou Xilin, Pei Zelun, Pan Huaxian
    1986, (5):  35-37.
    Asbtract ( 1378 )   PDF (272KB) ( 204 )
The serum LDH isoenzyme activities of 42 heads of Ebian Black-white Cattle from 740 to 2050 meters above sea level were measured by using acetate cellullose thin layer electrophoresis. The results showed that the effect of elevation on serum LDH isoenzyme content of Ebian Black-white Cattle was significant. The content of LDH was increased, but that of LDH3 was decreased with increasing elevation.Regulating the content of LDH is one of metabolic strategies for the cattle to adapt to the elevation changes.

Liu Huanjin, Su Hualong, Feng Jingyi, Gao Guoliang, Ren Jianqiang, Ji Wenxiao
    1986, (5):  38-41.
    Asbtract ( 1434 )   PDF (366KB) ( 231 )
This paper is the first report about the investigation of birds distributed in the Guandi Mountains,Shanxi Province.Five vertical distribution belts of birds are divided for the Guandi Mountains. The data indicate that birds are most abundant in the lower mountain belts and not abundant in the mountain summit belt. The avifauna in this district is composed of 14 orders,20 families and 143 species in which there are 88 breeding birds. The brown-eared pheasants(Crossoptilon mantchuricum)is the peculiar species there and their nest territory generally is distributed in the mid-mountain belt with an elevation of 1850—2290 metres.
A Brief Account of Vegetation in Fuyang Mountain Region and It's Management
    Cai Renhou
    1986, (5):  42-46.
    Asbtract ( 1278 )   PDF (459KB) ( 177 )
Fuyang is a famous district situated in the central part of Zhejiang province.About 85% of this area is mountainous. The vegetation is dominanted by evergreen forests. There are four major types of communities:1.coniferous forest(mainly Pinus massoniana);2.broad-leaved forests;3.bamboo forest of Phyllostachy pubescens and shrub-grass land. The vegetation was severely disturbed for a long time.Closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation, planting native trees and effectively managing the remain woodlands are important for increasing the forest coverage in this area.
