Optimum Structural Analysis of Sugarcane Field Ecosystem in Xianyou of Fujian
    Wu Zhiqiang, Chen Junqin
    1986, (1):  1-6.
    Asbtract ( 1194 )   PDF (523KB) ( 219 )
Xianyou is a famous high yielding region of sugarcane in Fujian. This paper deals with theoptimum structure of this field ecosystem in considering of natural and social resources, cropyields, and crop rotation. The balance of soil fertility and economic effects are analyzed bymathematical statistics and linear programming. Results show that optimum structure of fieldecosystem will give a net yield value of 11.18% and net returns of 11.74%.Both are higherthan the old management way.
On the Rational Density of Sand-Fixers From the Viewpoint of Water Balance
    Jiang Jin, Cong Zili
    1986, (1):  7-12.
    Asbtract ( 1212 )   PDF (530KB) ( 318 )
In this paper,water-balance between sand and sand-fixers and quantities of water preservedin sand and required by sand-fixers are determined.Based on these, reasonable density andproperly preserved number of different mixed types of sand-fixers are estimated, which offera theoretical evidence for establishing a stable artificial vegetation.
Distribution of Main Tree Species and Its Relation to Water and Heat Conditions in Shelter-Forest Districts of“San Bei”

    1986, (1):  13-17,37.
    Asbtract ( 3970 )   PDF (551KB) ( 237 )
Based on the analyses of meteorological deta in 1961—1980 and distribution of 18 representa-tive species of arborn and shrubs in shelter-forest districts of“San Bei”(northwest, north andnortheast of China),it's concluded that(1)heat condition in these districts can meet theneeds of most tree species and find itself in an optimum range needed for tree's normal grow-th;(2)water condition is the limiting factor for the distribution of tree'species in thesedistricts;(3)minimum value of coldness index must be considered when tree species are in-troduced northward
Studies on Ecological Problems of Apodemus speciosus and Clethrionomys rufocanus at Changhong Forest Farm in Helong County of Jilin Province
Gu Xiufu, Cai Zenglin, Ren Liyuan, Shen Baojun, Ye Dan
    1986, (1):  18-21.
    Asbtract ( 1530 )   PDF (350KB) ( 252 )
From April to September in 1983,the ecological problems of Apodemus speciosus and Clethrionomys rufocanus were studied at Changhong forest farm. Results show that at this farm, thequantitative peak of Apodemus speciosus and Clethrionomys rufocanus is in July and first halfof August. The gestational peak of Apodemus speciosus is in June and that of Clethrionomys rufocanus is in May and August. The density of Apodemus speciosus in biotopes is closelyrelated to the EHF viral fantigens carried by these rats.It is also found that the gestationalpeak of Clethrionomys rufocanus in spring has at least some relations with the seasonal peakof EHF viral antigens.
Growth Rhythm of Ten Species of Trees and Their Environments
Li Dunfa, Zhang Xianling, Liu Shangfu
    1986, (1):  22-25.
    Asbtract ( 1211 )   PDF (319KB) ( 219 )
In 1982,the relationship between growth rhythm of ten species of main timber trees(five coni-fers and five broad-leaved trees),in north subtropics and their enyironments is studied, usingthe methods of comparing ecology and macroscopic investigations with fixed positions, fixedperiods and fixed trees.Five aspects are discussed to each species type of height growth, secondary growth, regrowthand effects of climate on tree growth in height and diameter.
On the Rodent Control in Grassland From the Viewpoint of Ecology
    Xia Wuping
    1986, (1):  26-28.
    Asbtract ( 1262 )   PDF (302KB) ( 198 )
From the viewpoint of ecology, rodents play various roles in the grassan.weter they arebeneficial or harmful is rather complex, depending to a greater extent on their total populationwithin a place. The number of harmful rodents is related to the status of vegetation.Under-developed vegeta-tion provides harmful rodents with good habitats, and vice versa. The degeneration of grass-land increases the number of rodents, and which,in turn promotes the degeneration ofgrassland. The recovery of rodent population after control is so quick that the control measures should betaken every year,or with an interval of one year at most.In order to consolidate the achievements on rodent control in grassland, measures for renewalof vegetation must be carried on——seeding grasses, raking and ploughing bared lands,fertilization,etc..
    Ecological Viewpoints in Urban Programming
    Feng Xiangdong
    1986, (1):  29-32,21.
    Asbtract ( 1146 )   PDF (476KB) ( 236 )
This paper discusses the application of ecological viewpoints in urban programming. It's con-sidered that in programming, potentialities of regional environmental conditions must be fullyconsidered to harmonize the programming factors and ecological conditions and properly treatthe relationships between human beings and environment, nature and society, production and daily life, and those among various departments in various levels.Based on these, the scalesof cities and their functional divisions can be determined and various measures for improvingurban ecological environment can be adopted.
Preliminary Analysis on the Causes of Mountain Torrent in Liuyang Basin
    Li Yige
    1986, (1):  33-37.
    Asbtract ( 1291 )   PDF (507KB) ( 194 )
In July 7 th to 9th of 1983,a serious calamity from mountain torrents was happened in theupper sections of Liuyang River of Hunan province.Investigation shows that this calamity isrelated to landforms, topography, properties of rocks and soils, climate, vegetation and humanactivities.Among internal causes, forest vegetation is the main one,and among external causes——human activities. This calamity is also the result from cuantitative to qualitative changesof three great ecological crises——population explosion, forest exhausion and environmental deterioration.
    Grain Reserve Ecology
    Xu Guorong
    1986, (1):  38-41.
    Asbtract ( 1144 )   PDF (370KB) ( 286 )
This paper discusses the complicated relationships between biotic and abiotic factors in grain reserve.Based on the differentiation of communities in grain reserves with location and dura-tion and the succession of communities in different biotopes of grain piles,it's consideredthat our present reserving measures such as“low oxygen”,“low temperature”and“rotatedreserving”are of important ecological meanings.
Investigations and Analyses on the Ecolomic Advantages and Disadvantages After Building Dykes on Honghu Lake
    Zhang Rongxing
    1986, (1):  42-45.
    Asbtract ( 1149 )   PDF (386KB) ( 192 )
This paper discusses the ecolomics of Honghu lake after building dykes. It's considered thatthe building of dykes before 1970 is right. The advantages are bigger than disadvantages. But,since 1970,too many dykes have been built and little ecolomic benefits are obtained. It's hoped that the protection and management of the lake have to be paid more attentionfrom now on.
Toxicity of Anti-Pollution Paints and Their Influence on Marine
    Hou Jialong
    1986, (1):  46-47.
    Asbtract ( 1146 )   PDF (215KB) ( 273 )
The anti-pollution paints mainly used today are Cu-,Hg-,As-,Sn-.containing ones.Ineyhave strong toxicity and release to the waterbody during their utilization, inducing the pollution of ambient aquatic environment, and harbours in particular. This problem must be paidedgreat attention by the parties concerned.
