The present paper deals with the degradation of soil structure in black soil after reclamation, which is considered as an inevitable outcome of agricultural ecosystem evoluted from a natural ecosystem in this region. Some ways improving the ecological structure and soil management to renew the good structure properties of black soil are discussed.
Preliminary Study on the Succession of Aerial Sowing
Astralus Adsurgens
Grassland Community in Wuqi County

In this paper, succession of aerial sowing
Astragalus adsurgens
grassland community and competitive balance among plant populations are quantitatively studied. The results show that the succession of aerial sowing
Astragalus adsurgens
grassland community is only a subsystem in the changing plant community system, i.e., it is a linaer systems there is a coexistent point of balance between
Thymus mongulicus
and
Stipa bungeana
.
Preliminary Study on the Protective Efficiency of Forest and its Estimative Method

Based on the long-term observation data obtained from more than 500 meteorological and-hydrological stations, the relationship between forest covet percentage and 10 meteoro-hydrological elements is studied with the method of quantitative theory I.From this, the protective efficiency of present forest in Heilongjiang province is calculated and the possible efficiency of planned forest cover percentage is also estimated.
Study on the Ecological Properties of Spring Wheat Varieties in Different Regions of China

Field experiments were made with five varieties of spring wheat collected from Chaidamu and Xining of Qinghai province and Hainan Island of Guangdong province. The results show that biological properties and yields of tested varieties have a close relationship with local climate conditions.
Effect of Heat Stress on the Reproductive Performance of Bucks

It is confirmed by the authors that when ambient temperature is above 30℃, the semen quality of bucks is significantly poorer than control, the libido and spermatogenesis are seriously affected, and infertility is resulted. The authors suggest that it is important to protect bucks against heat stress during hot summer season.
Study on the Nutrient Circulation and Fertilization in Farmland Ecosystem of Shanghai Suburbs

In the farmland ecosystem of Shanghai suburbs, soil are rich in N and P, but deficient in K.In order to keep nutrient balance in this ecosystem and make crops grow well, it is necessary to decrease the application of N, stope the application of P, and supply suitable amount of K to the soil.
A Field Survey on the Harmful Rats in Farmlands of Zibo District
Che Xianshui

A field survey was made in 1982—1983 on the main species of harmful rats and their ecological distributions in various biotopes and various vertical zones of farmlands, which supplied a basical information for the further survey on the ecological distribution of harmful farmland rats and their prevention in this district.
Ecological Investigations on the Zooplankton in Zhong River of Hangzhou

Zhong River is a heavy polluted waterbody. It is recorded that there are 81 species of zooplankton, amoung which,
Protozoan ciliata
is predominant,
Rotifera
and
Cladocera
are poor, and Copepoda is exterminated. The results show that Zhong River belongs to polysaprobic waterbody.
Forest in Mountainous Ecosystem and Its Relationship With Production

Ecological factors of mountainous ecosystem may be classified into 3 categories: independent, semi-independent and dependent. The independent one is steady, semi-independent one is relatively steady, and dependent one is closely related to external disturbances. Forest is the primary producer in mountainous ecosystem. It plays a dominant role in soil and water conservation, and gives a strong influence to the production of this ecosystem.

This paper describes the ecological dislocation and environmental deterioration resulted from the destruction of forest cover of a township in the mountainous area. It's desired that leaders at all levels and peoples of all nationalities should may great attention to this problem and adopt vigorous measures to protect forest resources.
A comparative study on the karyotypes of different ecotypes of Hemerocallis fulva (L) hiliceae

Different original plants of
Hemerocallis fulva
introduced from Fujian, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Huangshan are cultivated in Fudan university. Different ecotypes are found. The plants from Fujian and Guangdong are evergreen, and those from Zhejiang and Huangshan are summergreen. The karyotypes of plants from Fujian and Huangshan are 2X, and those from Zhejiang and Guangdong are 3X. It is proved that there is no relationship between ecotype and karyotype.

Observations of 10 years' artificial red pine trees show that for trees younger than 10 years old, they can grow faster under a relative illumination of 90—51% than that of 100%.A relative illumination of 50—21% starts to influence the tree growth, and that of <20% has a severe influence.A proper shield can inhibit the regrowth and branching of red pine and postpone its seeding stage.
