Abstract: In Qinling Mountain,4 stands were set up at Taibai Mountain,Guangtou Mountain,Yuhuang Mountain, and Bingjingding Mountain respectively.280 plots in Larix chinensis population were investigated by sampling method. The community feature,size-class structure, and regulation of changing density were analyzed,as well as worked out the survival curve, death curve, and life table. The results showed that the populations had one peak of mortality between 25~30cm,and the survival curve trended to be the type between Deevey Ⅱ and Ⅲ.The populations were stable in large size-class and variable in small size-class.The restricting factor for the survival and development of the population was short seedling.
