Abstract: Based on the field experiments from 1985 to 1986 in the Yangtze River Valley, and from 1988 to 1989 in Jiangsu province,and using the characteristics of rice varieties,cultivation techniques,weather and nitrogen conditions as basic driven variables,a dynamic model is established to simulate the dynamic process of rice tillering. The results are summarized and shown a close relationship between simulatedand observed values, the correlation coefficient r being 0.956.
