Abstract: Polygonatum odoratum is widely distributed in subtropical and temperate areas of China and temperate areas of Eurasia continent. In this paper, the karyotype and number of chromosomes of P.odoratum in different distribution areas of China are reported to reveal the evolutionary relationships among specimens from different areas. It provides new material for the cytogeographical research of Polygonayum.
