Abstract: Locust,a serious injurious insect,might be used as a source of protein.The transformation efficiency from fresh grass to crude protein by locust is 12.1%.The ecological engineering of artificial breeding locust is designed,which is including the system of the sun-grass-locust-animal(birds or frog)-earthwarm-marsh gas(methane-generating pit)-grass.The economic and ecological benefits from the ecological engineering was discussed.
